I have an affinity to the sea and attempt to bring the raw atmosphere of the Cornish peninsula to the canvas by using palette knives to paint. It is a frenetic process with layers being applied, scraped off and reapplied. I've also included pencil sketches, works in their own right and reference drawings for paintings.
